There is not much to say about our last day at Cathedral Peak. We were already getting itchy to get home from our Drakensberg Trip and our feet were sore from all the previous activities. Having taken the bikes with us and not having used them much, we felt we had to make use of them if we were not going to hike on the last day.
I know that people say you get saddle fit… but eina! My bum got sore very quickly on our ride through the park we were staying in. We saw baboons, golfers, bugs, waterfalls, and all on our bikes. But none of them were distracting enough to take my mind off of the pain in my behind. I have to give credit to Shantelle though; she was riding like a champ without complaints. There was still a lot of day left by the time we got back, so we did the shortest walk we could find. It was a 30min return trip to Belinda Falls. We tried to stall for time whilst we were there, but we ended up coming back and spending the rest of the afternoon sleeping and reading. By now we were torn in two by our desire to stay on against our need to return home.
